Get creative in the kitchen and explore the science of food!
In Year 10 Food Technology, students will continue to learn important safety and hygiene practices to turn raw ingredients into tasty dishes. The course will also cover the science behind baking and how proteins work, as well as the skills needed to be a great barista. Using the Technological Design process, this subject encourages creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving as you develop your own food products and recipes.
Year 10 Food Technology continues as a Year 11 NCEA course.

- Chef/Culinary Artist – Work in restaurants, hotels, or as a private chef.
